Amber Alert 3.0 officially includes upgrades, but the public description does not publish an upgrade tree, names, levels, prices, caps, prerequisites, persistence, or best order. Build your order from the run’s bottleneck: information, route control, economy, visibility, recovery, or direct defense. Read every current Shop card and change one thing at a time.

Identify what counts as an upgrade

The new Shop may separate consumable items, map-wide improvements, class perks, gamepasses, and permanent progression. Do not call them all upgrades. Record the current category, currency, ownership scope, number of levels, and what resets after death or a new match.

A CCTV purchase has historically behaved like a map utility upgrade, while a flashlight can be an item or gamepass grant. A class perk can modify Shop behavior without being bought in the Shop. Use the live label to keep these systems separate.

Before confirming, read whether the purchase applies to the player, team, building, current map, or account. If the scope is absent, treat it as unknown.

Information first when the route is unclear

Upgrade surveillance or detection only if it covers the next action. Map CCTV feeds during daylight and keep the operator’s room protected. A motion or time tool needs a readable signal and a response plan; data without an action can distract the team.

Compare the upgrade with free observation. Peeking, headphones, short calls, and a route observer may solve the same problem without spending. If cameras do not see the relevant window, invest elsewhere.

Record map support and current cost. Older CCTV values varied by difficulty and received bug fixes, so no historical price should be treated as fixed.

Route and window control

The official 3.0 notes make windows active threat routes. Choose an upgrade that gives warning, delay, or a safer escape only after confirming the target surface. Place it where teammates do not need to cross.

Measure whether the effect buys useful time. A long animation, awkward placement, or single use can reduce value even if the description sounds strong. Test with the same threat and difficulty before calling it reliable.

Keep a fallback independent of the upgrade. Patches, threat exceptions, or a spent charge can remove the protection.

Economy and farming order

If apples or another resource loop is present, calculate break-even. Record the current cost and added value or time saved per cycle. Divide cost by the benefit and compare with the remaining run. If exact yield is unknown, make one small test rather than buying a full chain.

Buy compounding improvements early, after the team can survive the setup. Later in the run, direct safety or task completion may be stronger because fewer cycles remain.

Coordinate ownership. A team-wide building improvement and a personal farming perk require different purchase plans.

Visibility, recovery, and offense

Visibility upgrades should make a specific cue or route readable. Confirm whether they illuminate the player, room, target, or camera feed. Check duration, battery, and whether the effect survives death.

Recovery matters when teammates regularly reach a downed state and another player can respond safely. Verify charges, target restrictions, revive timing, and mode rules. Do not spend on recovery if the whole group is caught together.

Offense or stun should be the last default priority unless the current objective or confirmed threat requires it. Read ammo, placement, effect, compatible targets, and risk. An expensive weapon does not repair a bad route.

Classes, passes, and stacking

Community class records describe Shop discounts, farming, CCTV, lockdown, revive, and weapon access. Current 3.0 perk values need live checks. Compare the same upgrade with and without the class under identical conditions.

Gamepasses can also change starting items or multipliers. A tracked VIP description warns that some multipliers do not stack, illustrating why two similar benefits cannot be multiplied by assumption.

Record whether the Shop shows a modified price, whether the benefit is personal or shared, and whether duplicate classes stack. Leave the answer unknown when the UI does not show it.

Troubleshoot an upgrade path

If a next level is locked, read the prerequisite rather than buying adjacent items at random. If the balance changes without the effect, check whether activation, placement, or a new match is required. Do not purchase again until the state is clear.

If the upgrade works on one map but not another, record map support. If a patch changes price or effect, preserve the old result with its date instead of blending values.

If the group cannot agree on priorities, review the last death and choose the first failure in the chain. Solving an earlier information or route problem often prevents the later need for recovery or damage.

Record the current upgrade

Save name, category, level, prerequisite, currency, cost, scope, effect text, map, difficulty, class, gamepasses, activation, duration, uses, cap, persistence, server date, and observed result. Unknown fields should remain empty.

Repeat one controlled route or event before and after purchase. A visible difference tied to the described effect is more useful than a broad claim that the run felt easier.
