How to Unlock Classes in Amber Alert 3.0

Unlock Amber Alert 3.0 classes safely by checking current Amber costs, prerequisites, permanence, confirmation, and class fit before spending.

Community documentation says Amber Alert classes are unlocked with Amber, with higher-star classes historically costing more. The current official 3.0 description does not publish the class menu, cost table, prerequisites, refund policy, or permanence. Open the current lobby class panel, choose a role you can explain, read the full confirmation, and trust the balance shown on your account.

Find the current class panel

Join the official Amber Alert 3.0 experience and remain in the new lobby. Look for the class selection or progression surface near the normal lobby controls. Do not use a 2.0 screenshot to choose the location; the 3.0 update introduced a new lobby.

Open one class entry and identify name, role, stars, Amber cost, lock requirement, perks, starting items, skill state, and purchase button. If the panel hides a field until selection, do not assume the value from a community list.

On mobile or console, make sure the highlight is on the intended class before confirming. On PC, unlock the mouse with F if the current interface needs pointer movement, then verify that gameplay focus returns after closing.

Check the cost and currency

Older community records list examples ranging from low-cost Starter and Sprinter entries to higher-cost Police, Rich Kid, and SWAT entries. Those numbers are historical snapshots and should not be used as a 3.0 price promise. Read the current Amber symbol and amount.

Separate Amber from match cash and Robux. Match cash can support Shop purchases during a run, Amber may unlock longer-term progression, and gamepasses are Roblox products. A similar icon or word in an old guide does not make the currencies interchangeable.

Capture the balance before purchase. If a promotional code succeeds, confirm where the reward went before counting it. Current code sources disagree, so the Codes page marks every string as unverified or conflicting.

Check prerequisites and permanence

Read every lock message. A class could require Amber, a star threshold, another class, a map completion, a difficulty clear, a badge, or a future update. The official page does not define these rules, so do not invent a route from the class name.

Look for wording such as unlock, equip, rent, trial, or purchase. They imply different persistence. If permanence is not clear, assume the decision matters and avoid repeated clicks. Roblox confirmation and the class panel should show whether a Robux transaction is involved.

After purchase, close and reopen the panel. Confirm the class remains unlocked, can be equipped, and appears on your character or loadout. If it vanishes after rejoining, record the result before buying again.

Choose what to unlock first

Pick the class that addresses a repeatable failure. If you cannot escape, compare current mobility or Civil perks after learning the route. If Shop resources are the problem, compare Economy. If information or doors fail, inspect Utility. If teammates cannot recover, inspect Healer. If the mode rewards direct defense, examine Combat.

Do not buy only because a class has more stars. Stars historically tracked cost and different mechanics, not a universal score across unrelated roles. A cheap, confirmed effect can solve your current route better than an expensive specialized class.

For solo play, prioritize effects you can use without another player. In squads, coordinate purchases so roles complement rather than duplicate each other. Verify stacking before multiple players buy the same class for one bonus.

Confirm the equipped class

Selecting and owning are different states. After unlocking, press the current equip or select control and look for a visible marker. Load a match and inspect starting items, perk indicators, or skill controls before relying on the effect.

If the class depends on a Shop upgrade, confirm that dependency. Older Engineer documentation, for example, linked its tablet to purchased CCTV. A class can be properly equipped while its main utility remains unavailable on the selected map.

Run a short controlled test. Compare one price, route, revive, tool, or combat action with the same map and difficulty. This verifies the purchase without risking a full run on an assumed effect.

Troubleshoot an unlock

If the button is disabled, reread the lock text and confirm the currency. If the balance changed but ownership did not, do not purchase again; save the visible receipt or transaction state and rejoin once. If the class appears owned but not active, look for a separate equip control.

If a code reward did not appear, keep the code issue separate from the class menu. If a Robux prompt appears unexpectedly, cancel and confirm you selected the correct surface. Never provide account credentials to a guide or external form.

Server lag can delay the visual update. Wait for the confirmation message, close the panel, and reopen it. Repeated clicks can produce confusion even when duplicate purchases are blocked.

Historical cost context

The community Classes page once listed Starter at one star, Sprinter at two, Engineer and Shopper at three, several four-star roles, and high-star Police, Rich Kid, and SWAT. It also labeled Hider and Priest unreleased. Use that history to recognize names only.

The 3.0 description does not say whether the full 2.0 roster, costs, stars, perks, or skill plans carried forward. A new lobby and broader Shop changes are reasons to require the live panel.

Record a current unlock

Save class name, role, stars, displayed cost, currency, prerequisites, unlock wording, perk titles, starting items, skill status, purchase result, persistence after rejoin, server date, and official metadata date. Omit anything the interface does not show.

This record lets later players distinguish a balance change from an incorrect old guide. It also supports a fair comparison without turning price into a power ranking.

Sources and next steps

The class-unlock framework comes from the community Classes page, checked September 5, 2026. It is a 2.0-era snapshot. The official Roblox experience page for Amber Alert 3.0 confirms the current experience but does not list class unlock details.

Use Classes List to choose a role, Class Perks to test effects, and Items to check dependencies. Current costs, requirements, refunds, permanence, and skill availability still need live verification.
